This has been the worst winter for my little family as far as sickness goes. The colds have been non-stop and the flu has visited us rather frequently. Britton got his turn with a nasty cold on Sunday. So I put on a movie so he could just take it easy and that is exactly what he did. Ever since he was born he would put his little hands behind his BIG head when he relaxes (just like his Papa Jones.) Luckily this cold passed rather quickly for my sweet Britton. Isn't he a cutie??
As I am sure you can tell, my life can be quite hectic at times. I know I only have two boys but let me tell you these two kids give me a run for my money. (I don't know if that term applies to a student family, considering we have no money--nevertheless.) Last week I opened my fridge to find two eggs that had been cracked and then smeared everywhere. When I asked Carter what that was about he said "I wanted to let the birdies out". These boys are as sweet as it gets but sometimes I need a miracle just to keep sane. My miracle moved into our apartment complex last year in June--her name is Lori. She is 9 years old and I don't think she will know how much I appreciate her until she becomes a mom, too. She comes over almost daily and plays with the kids, changes diapers, gets sippy cups, and puts kids to bed. You name it; she does it. I bet you wish you had a neighbor like her! We have nicknamed her Mama #2. It is funny to see her rock Britton to sleep because he looks so big up against her little body. All in all, I am thankful to have a neighbor like her. She is truly a blessing from heaven and I am thankful for that.

When Chris came home today he was so excited to show me this. I guess it was the talk of his school. Try to find Chris. This photo was put on the front of the WDA magazine which is a dentistry magazine that a lot of people get. Chris told me that he thought that the photographer was just taking pictures for her personal use and if he would have known that it was going to be on the front of the magazine he would have centered himself a bit more. I think he is just SO cute and funny. CUTE Chris.
AHHH, life is crazy!! This isn't the first time Britton has done this either! I had just gotten Britton out of the tub and gotten him dressed and we were in his room when I saw him bolt off with a little smirk on his face. I knew what was going to happen so I started to chase him which only made him go faster. I was just about to get him when he did a full on dive into the tub. (He dove because his little legs are to short to step over.) This kid keeps me busy but he is so much fun!! I wish I could have gotten a good picture of his face but like I have said this kid won't stop moving.
Before family night, Carter told me he wanted to go to bed but I thought he was just trying to get away so he could play with toys or something. Well, he was right--he was tired. I just can't believe he fell asleep while sitting up on a hard, wooden chair. (He wasn't really reading the scriptures, we put them there for special effects.)
There has been so much snow here lately. At times it has been a bit crazy--like the time it took me 45 minutes to get into my garage. My boys were just hanging out in their car seats as I shoveled my way in. They just went with the flow and watched me like I was some kind of action movie. But the snow hasn't been all bad, I guess. We have been able to go sledding a whole lot and we are loving it--especially Carter, as you can see.
A few weeks ago Carter got a CTR ring. He was so excited about it. On the way home from church I asked him why he was wearing it, thinking he would say something around the lines of, "So I can remember to choose the right." Well he didn't say that. His answer was "Because I can't get it off." Funny, sweet boy!

Carter just went to his very first valentines party! He is just growing up too fast. Last night we went to Walmart to get him some cards to pass out. It took us 45 minutes to get there because we were in a big storm. We luckily got there safely but because of the weather I was trying to rush through the shopping and somehow Carter's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Valentines didn't make it home. We got home and I decide that with Chris's help we would make some superman Valentines day cards on the computer. Well I won't say any more but take a look. They were a big hit!!
