NOT a teddy bear!

First I have to say THANKS to Chris for putting the boys to bed on time--all by yourself and without being asked. Thanks. The other night, though, I went into Britton's room to give him a kiss before I went to bed. It was late--probably about midnight--so had been asleep for a while already, but as I leaned down to give him a kiss I noticed he was cuddeled up to a pair of pliars. Yes, boys will be boys; but do they need to be dangerous?

Carters Rocky Adventure

Carter loves his preschool. One of the many reasons why is because on occasions he gets to go rock climbing with his class. HE LOVES IT! He doesn't get too high up--only about two feet at the most. But he has fun.

Another One Bites the Dust!

Let me start by saying: never underestimate a swinging person's momentum. Britton had to learn the hard way. He accidentally walked in front of someone swinging on the swing set. I saw it right before it happend and can't seem to get the image out of my head. I can still see Britton's little body being slammed into the dirt/woodchips. I ran to get him and when I flipped him over he had a split lip, bloody nose, major scratches and to top it off a huge mouthful of dirt. I hope it heals quickly.

This is one of our neighbors who had an accident going down a hill. I just thought it was funny. They look like they have the same disease.

Carter is a Big Boy Now

Today was a big day in the life of the Ehat family because Carter learned how to ride a bike without his training wheels. Chris is such a great dad and it was so wonderful to see them working together. It only took about 15 minutes for Carter to learn how to do it. Partly because Chris is such a great teacher and partly because Carter is smart like Chris. Carter had such a big smile on his face and couldn't wait to get in the house so he could call his grandparents to tell them what he had done. That just made my day!

Spring is Finally in the Air

I am so happy that my tulips have finally bloomed! I have been waiting all winter for this! I didn't expect for them to be this large but I am very happy with the turnout. I've been thinking about something lately: I now like flowers, bird feeders and birds. I know, I know--I've turned into an old person!

My Baby Britt is Two

Isn't this just the cutest picture of Britton? He sat right down and posed for the camera.

I do have to say: I love that kid! I am so glad that he is a part of our little family. He brings so much spice to our life! And without spice life is BORING!

So today Carter did two funny things:

While playing with play-dough he made this and said, "Look, dad, I made your butt."

Second. While going through the alphabet with him I said, "Octopus starts with O" and he and said, "No mom, O starts with bagel."

We have had one full week of Birthdays! Britton's is on May 5th and Chris's birthday in on the 8th.

How long did you date? We dated for 2 years. Then he was gone for 2 years on his mission and then when he got home we dated for 4 months before we were married. So we dated for 2 years and 4 months, and new each other for 4 years and 4 months. LIFE HAS BEEN FUN!!

Who cooks dinner? I do, but he always insists on taking 1 night a week, just to give me the night off. He's really good too!

He has spent the past 4 years just trying to cut spending. Actually, we both like running a pretty tight ship.

What is your favorite thing about him? He is a passionate guy who shoots for the stars in every area of his life. He is a romantic husband and a loving father. He knows how to work hard and stay positive 100% of the time. He's got his priorities in the right place and he is a man of character. I am a very lucky woman! Did I mention that he is a neat freak who loves to clean?

The Day After The Big Day

The day after was almost as fun as the reception itself. Most everyone got jumping.

The BIG Day

The wedding day was absolutely wonderful! It was a very special day. Linzi looked absolutely amazing and Jimmy looked drop-dead handsome. Together they are just a great couple and I am so glad that they are now husband and wife. They looked so happy. The reception was just unbelievable! Linzi kept me busy sewing the runners, flower girls' sashes, and cake table cloth; making the wedding cake; doing her hair; and to top it all off my friend, Allison, and I sang her and Jimmy a song at the reception. It was so much fun in the end to see it all put together.

They had the reception at Le Jardin--a greenhouse with cobblestone flooring. It ended up looking so great. The food was so good (Pam Lund Catered). Chris was telling all of his friend to take double the food so he could take half of it. It was also so much fun to get to know all of Jimmy's family. We love them! All in all, the day was amazing but the best part was that an eternal family has now started. I love Linzi an Jimmy and was so happy to be a part of their special day.

Woops. Wrong Size

I was so excited to see Chris in a tux because the last time I saw him in one was for our wedding. I went with Chris to pick it up and as we were there he tried it on to make sure it fit. I thought that when he came out I was going to just want to kiss him he would be so handsome but when I saw him I laughed so hard. His pants were so short that if they were any shorter they would have been shorts. His suit coat was too big, too. He still looked cute, though and we ended up getting the right size for the wedding. It was just funny.

Two days before the wedding we all got pedicures and manicures. It was so much fun to be with everyone.

Baby Austin

This was the first time I was able to meet my new nephew Baby Austin. He is just as cute as it gets. I loved to hold him because he has such a nice, round body. Just look at those ankles! He is so adorable that I was thinking that I wouldn't mind having another boy someday! :0)

Pure Joy With the Cousins

I remember when I was a kid being so excited to be with my cousins that I would always throw up when I was with them. My children love their cousins as much as I love mine. It is fun to see my boys so happy with them. I love to go to Utah to spend time with our relatives. It make me realize how important it is to have family.
