Soccer Practice.

Today was the boys first soccer practice. Both Carter and Britton looked so cute in there outfits. Britton was especially excited to be playing since he has seen Carter on a team. I could tell they had a good day. The park we went to didn't have a rest room so Chris had to drive Carter to the rest room and he got Mc D's and then 30 mins later Britton had to go and Chris took him to a pizza place to go and came back with a pizza. This was all before noon! When I was questioning him about the two fast food stops with in 30 min his answer was just that he was hungry. I think is is halirious!

Carter is the best brother ever. This is how he eats his breakfast and Macie loves him because of it.

For some odd reason the boys had been wanting to sleep under there beds for a while and a few nights ago Chris let them. They loved it. Also, that is one of the Quilts I made this Christmas. I let the boys pick out fabric. Carter picked money, outer space, batman, peace signs, super man, spiders, skulls, balls and zoo animal fabric. Brittons quilt had flames, tootsie pops, Lighting McQueen, Popsicles, peace signs, airplains, tony hawk, wisconsin, cars, skulls and scooby doo fabric. I made both of them rather large so that They can have them on there beds and I put minky dot fabric on the back. They saw me make them but I told them that I had made them for poor boys and they belived me. I could tell they wanted them. I am glad they like them so much.

Britton went into Costco to get somthing and when we went back out it looked like Macie was driving (She was on Chriss lap while they were parked). Britt got a big kick out of it.

She is in the 25% for her head, 50% for height, and 25% for weight. She is nice and healthy.

Bouncers don't work even if she is strapped in. She is a wiggily girl.

We went to Red Robbin on Wednesday Family night the boys got there face painted, free arcades, balloon animals and free chocolate Sundays. It was fun!

Thanksgiving.

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving here in NM. We had it at our home and had both the Bredthauer and the Jones families over. We ate turkey with gravy, ham with Jeanine's famous ham sauce, mashed potatoes, green beans with bacon, carrots, brussel sprouts, rolls with honey butter, sausage stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, pumpkin cheesecake, peach pie, pumpkin cake and of course Martinelli's. I am getting full thinking about it! It is nice to have great friends to celebrate Thanksgiving with.

I always buy a bunch of Martinelli's because my cousin Erin says every years she has "Martinelli stress" because she is worried about their not being enough. I don't want my guests to ever feel that way so we get tons!

Oh my goodness! I am so excited that Linzi and Jimmy just had their baby! It has been a long wait for both of them but by the looks of it it was well worth the work to get this perfect person into their family. It sounds like she had a short labor and was only in the hospital for three hours before she had her. Her water broke while she was cutting Jimmy's hair. So he is looking pretty hot and handsome with half a haircut. I am so happy for them and I can't wait to meet her! It is a good thing my car is in the shop because I would have raced down there in the middle of the night. Chris keeps on reminding me that I have responsibilities here so I

gotta wait for a few more weeks to see her.

Britton kept on taking out a paper from his bag pretending that he was looking at a map

WE just got back from a GREAT trip to cabin up near Aspen Co. The CEO of Comfort Dental New Mexico has been telling us that we could use his cabin anytime and we took him up on it. It was a beautiful and huge cabin overlooking the snow-tipped mountains of CO. This house had a great jacuzzi that the boys loved and it was heated up for us before we got there. We went on several hikes and Joe and Jessica came to join us with their kiddos. On Friday night we went to a pizza place called The White House. It was so dang good and Chris Got in-trouble when he ate my leftovers. Don't mess with my food! We look forward to going again for an Ehat Family reunion.

Halloween 2010.

We had a wonderful Halloween weekend. On Friday we went to a ward trunk or treat / chili cook off with the ward. The boys loved being dressed up and especially loved receiving candy. Carter was Mario, Britton was a transformer and Macie was a chicken. A few days ago Jessica (my sister-in-law) and I went in to a Walmart that still had some of there Halloween stuff on sale and I got a Luigi costume for under $2.00 That is what Britton originally wanted to be.

Oh yeah, we don't really know what Chris is but I think his name should be Mullet man.

Chris told Britton to drink the juice in the fridge (meaning to drink the Juice that comes in a big plastic bottle, not the individually wrapped Capri Suns because those are for school). So he got the Capri Suns out of the pantry and drank it standing in the fridge.

Carter lost another tooth. That makes nine total so far. The tooth fairy didn't come the first night he put it under his pillow (woops, we forgot) so he put it under his pillow a second night and she came and left money and a note.

This is what britton wanted to wear to bed. Don't ask me why he is wearing rubber bands around his arms.

This why Macie loves her daddy. He makes sure she is warm in her baths.

Quick trip to Utah.

A few weeks ago I got back from a quick and fun trip to Utah to celebrate the new baby that will be coming into Jimmy and Linzi's home. We had a surprise shower for Linzi at her mother-in-law's home and it was great. The home was decorated so cute and everyone brought great food. Linzi ended up loving all of the gifts which was amazing since she is the take-back queen. I would say it was a big success.

My mom and Dad put on a big Sunday BBQ party for Jeanine and Dan. Nobody does a party like a Jones. The salmon and Chicken was great and the company was just as great. I hope they both had a great day.

My brother-in-law is a sales person for medical equipment and he sells the Jazzy wheel chairs (those things are DANG fast and I crashed it into my moms volvo. Woops) Well I guess he rides it pretty often to get mail. One day he went out without the chair and his neighbor was shocked to see that he wasn't disabled. Look how skinny his legs are... I can see why the neighbor would get confused.

When I was at linzi's home I found both of us standing the same way with our right toes tucked under. Crazy.

A week ago Carter's Sunday school teacher told me that Carter told her that Chris and I do noogies (that thing where you rub a fist against someones head) in our bed. Why does that sound dirty and where did he get that from??

Britton told Chris "Dad I had a dream about Macie last night. It was a cute nightmare."

Also, tomorrow Macie is going to get professional pictures done. We are also going to do family pictures but I am trying not to think about that considering that I am pretty darn heavy and have only lost a few lbs since going into the hospital to have her. OH WELL!! SO I made her a tutu and a flower headband. Here are some practice pictures. I think the colors are cute and will be so much better when a person who knows what they are doing does it. :)

We have been married for 8 years!! I don't know why but I am so excited to say that. We had a wonderful anniversary yesterday and all though it was filled with the everyday jobs (work, kids, house, baby, etc.) we were able to go out to dinner--a fun date with just us and Macie. To start off Chris surprised me with a "walk down memory lane scavenger hunt" with twelve cute clues that mentioned some of our best memory's and leading to a love note and flowers. Then we took a trip to Costco like the old days when we would go on dates there and eat the samples. Chris had to go to work but I surprised him after work and with a change of clothes and a gift and we went out on a date to Elephant bar. My good friend watched the boys and we brought baby Macie with us because she thinks "breast is best". It was wonderful.

We LOVE Dr. Seuss in this family and today when Carter was reading about a "Bofa" --a fictitious animal in the Dr. Seuss book Theres a Wocket in my Pocket-- Britt said "I saw a Bofa at the zoo". He said it so matter-of-factly that I almost believed him!

Two months old.

Geeze, I sure love this girl. I can't believe that time has flown by so fast. She has been the best baby ever. She sleeps between 6- 8 hours straight per night and smiles at everyone. Her favorite thing is the fan, lights, faces, her daddy, milk, sleep, her brothers and I am sure she thinks I am OK too. She makes the cutest noises ever and they are so girly. She is still spitting up like crazy but she seem to not be affected much by it.

Today we took her to her two month check up and she weighed in at 11.6 lbs and she is in the 75th percentile for both her weight and height while her head was in the 25th. Our boys were always small and short, with big heads. All in all she is happy and healthy and we feel blessed to have such a sweet girl in our home.

Today I walked into the living room to get Macie because she was beginning to fuss and I noticed that Britton was lifting up his shirt and was about to try to feed her. Nursing mother, nursing . . . . . . brother? Yuck, I don't think so!

Here is another funny thing. Britton saw this shadow and said "look, mom, a perfect corndog."

My baby is now 7! I can't believe how time just flies by. It has been so much fun to see him grow into such a sweet, wonderful boy. Some of his favorite things are Legos, trips to the zoo, his cousins, his Nintendo DS--especially Mario games, jumping on the trampoline, and his sister Macie ( I can't keep him away!)

Carter's birthday was a week ago but because Chris was working late that night we did most of the celebrating in the morning. We ate doughnuts for breakfast and he opened a few gifts. He got the movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid and a Lego set. It is so cute that he was happy with just two small toys. That night I took him to Micky D's for dinner where a friend met us and we let the kids play for two hours. The boys thought that we both deserved mother of they year awards for staying that long!

Yesterday was the party and it was SOO much fun. We went to Hoots, a jumping place, for a few hours where we had the place to ourselves for most of the time and then came back to our home for pizza, cake and ice cream. But the really great thing was my husband! He made balloon animals for the kids. Chris can do it all and that is one of the reasons why I love him. I think this birthday will be one we will remember forever. I couldn't take a lot of photos because I was either busy doing something for the party or nursing.

We were able to bless Macie last Sunday in our new Rio Rancho ward. Both Chris and my parents were able to drive in from Utah and we had some friends come in from the surrounding areas. It was a wonderful blessing. I was thankful to Chris for blessing her with the name we both agreed on. He had teased me quite a bit that he wasn't going to and I told him if he wanted to raise his children with a mother he shouldn't do any quick switches on me. :) Afterward, we had a dinner with all of the people who stood in the circle. It is wonderful to be surrounded by old friends, new friends and great family. Macie is such a lucky girl to be surrounded by so much love.

Sara invited us to go to the Zoo. We had so much fun that we decide to get a yearly pass and we've been back twice since. We got to see the polar bears eat lunch and the cougar came within a few feet of us. Here are some pictures.

We had so much fun dressing up Macie's room. It was a total group project. Chris made the cornice board and painted all of the furniture white, Linzi painted the wall pink and made the framed graphic art, and I made the bedding. I wanted to hang a chandelier (but we're renting so I don't think we will) and I need to get some more accessories but I am just waiting for the perfect ones.

Linzi made the graphic art and gave it to me as a gift. Cute huh?

Carter's first day of school was a success. He has a great teacher and it sounds like he is starting to make good friends. Although our house is VERY close to the school it is across a busy road so Carter gets to now ride the bus and he is very excited. We walked him to school in the morning but he got to ride the bus home. I was so excited about the bus because it drops him off across from our home. But I may have changed my mind about liking it. Yesterday I had to wait for the bus across the street to be in the shade for Macie. When the bus came to the bus stop I saw about 15 kids hop out but none of them were Carter. When I saw the last few kids come out I got a little nervous and started to walk towards the doors. Then the doors closed and I started to run. With Macie in my arm and my huge boobs bouncing I felt like a blob but I didn't care I needed to save my Carter. The bus just started to drive away when I was able to get the driver's attention. He stopped and Carter was on the bus. I guess that he called his name but Carter did not hear.

I told Chris about this and he told me that when he was a little kid he got on the wrong bus and instead of telling the bus driver he got off in a random neighborhood in Fresno and walked his way home. He said when he got home he was really late and his mom was scared to death. So now I am worried about my little boy getting off just any ol' place in Rio Rancho and some weirdo getting to him before we find him. We talked to him extensively about talking to the driver or a teacher if he is confused. This was our conversation:

Me: Carter, If you are confused about where you are, talk to your bus driver and he can help you.

Carter: OK

Me: NEVER get off in a place other than your bus stop.

Carter: OK

Me: If you get off in the wrong place a bad person could get you and do bad things to you. (I could see his brain thinking)

Carter: You mean like make me drink coffee?

We're hoping he figures out the bus situation soon.

Carter will be starting school on Tuesday and I was able to take him out on a date to go back-to-school shopping. He got some cool graphic T's, new jeans, and a new pair of Vans. I bought him a slurpee and you would have thought I gave him a $1,000. Sweet boy. I love to see how happy he was just to be with me.

It's Sunday. Chris is doing dishes Britton and Carter are playing nicely with Dominos and sweet macie is sleeping and I cannot stop feeling blessed. The last two months of our lives have been so filled with blessings that I can't deny the lords hand in our lives.

I am thankful for our move to New Mexico and I am thankful for how easy our transition has been. The boys mention how they miss certain people in WI but continue to tell me how they love it here. We love our home, and our new ward, and just about everything here (except for the lack of grass and the NM licence plates). We have made so many friends here and know we are in the right place.

I feel blessed to have a husband like Chris who continues to support our family in every way he can. About two weeks after we moved here he and the boys had a slept out on the trampoline I heard them outside giggling all night long. I am so glad my boys have a dad that loves to play and be with them.

I am thankful we were able to have Macie here in NM so that Chris could be a part of the delivery. The flights we made for him to go to WI were for the 25th of July and we had her on the 24th and with such a quick delivery he would have not made it .

But most of all I am thankful for a healthy family. I know Macie is healthy becuse of the many people praying and fasting for her and the preasthood blessing she recived. It is amazing to me that we were told by the pediatrician and the person who read the cat scan that she had craniosynostosis. We went to the neurosurgeon to talk treatment plans and then he tells us that she is a perfectly heathy baby, doesn't have craniosynostosis and will not need surgery (I could have told him that she was a perfict baby without a CT scan :)) I am just so thankful.

The last three weeks we have had both my mother-in-law and my mother in town to help out. I am thankful for them for all they have done for our little family and it is great to have such wonderful mothers in my life.

I feel so thankful and have been close to tears because of the many miracles in our life.

No Craniodysostosis!

Macie was seen by Dr. Marchand today (the neurosurgeon she was referred to) and he said she doesn't have craniodysostosis at all. He showed us CT scan, showed us the open sutures and said he's 100% sure she doesn't have a problem and won't need surgery. Great news! He does about 50 surgeries on kids with this problem per year (about 1 per week) and we feel extremely blessed that Macie will not be one of them. Thank you all for you prayers in our behalf.

The Birth Story

So many people have been emailing me and asking me about the birth. I have been having so much fun with Macie that I haven't been able to email and call all of my friends and family. So here it is.

4 weeks prior to birth-

As many of you know I was going to have the baby in WI but I spent two very sleepless nights worrying about what would happen if Chris wasn't there or if something happened to the baby during or after the delivery. So we started to make sure we were covered and we were surprisingly able to work things out.

The week before-

I had been having bad contractions off and on for about 8 days before she was born. There were a few times when the contractions were 3-7 min. apart but I knew they didn't hurt enough to go in. On Tuesday I thought for sure she was coming so I made a frantic shopping trip to pick up nursing bras and stretchy pants (must-haves for all women who have just given birth.)

The day before-

I had a scheduled appointment at 1:00 with my nurse midwife. She checked me and I was dilated to a 3, was 80 % effaced and my cervix was softened.

The rest of that day I ran errands, got curtains for the baby's room, went grocery shopping (and for some reason only bought junk food--don't ask me why) and got home at 8:00. Chris called and said that he was going out to dinner with some of the other Comfort dentists. At this point I wasn't feeling good but I thought it was just a stomach bug and wasn't noticing any more contractions than usual. Chris got home at 10:30 and I was watching Cake Boss. We went to sleep.

Macie's B-day-

I woke up about an hour and a half later with a killer stomach ache and threw up and had other stomach issues (I was losing fluids from both ends, if you know what I mean). I decide to sleep on the couch because I did not want to wake up Chris because he had to work early the next day. Between throwing up, doing the "other thing", taking baths to try to calm my tummy down, and lying on the couch I didn't get any sleep at all. Around 6:00 in the morning I still didn't think I was in true labor and woke Chris up to get me some Pepto Bismol. When he got back I realized that my contractions were quite close together but still thought Chris should go into work. About 30 mins later I notice that they we starting to hurt so he decided not to go in. It’s a good thing, too, because we left for the hospital about 15 min later. We got to the hospital at 7:30. The nurse checked me at about 8:30 and I was still at a 3 and 80-- the same as the day before. Because I hadn't changed at all they didn't know if I was in truly in labor yet. The pain wasn't bad but it was getting worse by the minute. At 9:00 the pain became unbearable. I started to cry (which I don't usually do when I am in pain—I gave birth to Britton without an epidural and didn’t shed a single tear) but I was feeling like there was no end in sight and thought I might get sent home. At around 9:25 (one hour later) the midwife came in to check me and to our surprise I was at 9 cm and almost ready to push. That was when they decided that I would not be going home. Because I dilated so fast the pain was even more intense than with Britton’s delivery but with Britton’s delivery pushing was a relief and with Macie it was not. I didn't push for long--only about ten minutes or so--but her skull bones didn’t give at all like during a normal birth(more about that later). To make things even more difficult she had shoulder dystocia (her head came out but her shoulders got stuck for a bit) and was sunny side up so it was unbearably painful. The nurse midwife was literally pulling her as hard as she could and the nurse was on top of me pushing on my uterus to get her out. The funny thing was I didn't even feel it because I was in so much other pain everything else was nothing. Finally she was delivered and placed on my tummy and we got to see her for the first time. The pain didn't matter and I would have done it 20 times over just to have her. I was in love with her and we grow more and more in love every day. She is truly the princess in our family and feel so blessed to have her in our home.

Also, if you’re wondering why I didn't post any photos of me it is because I was butt naked. Don't ask me why but the nurse took off my gown after she was born.

The few days in the hospital-

I heard several at the hospital people say "Oh, I heard about your delivery" but the hospital was very nice and I loved the nurses. The food was very bad but I have a very good husband that snuck me in food on occasions. Chris stayed with me for the whole time we were there. He is SUCH a good dad. I love to see how he interacts with the boys and it has been fun to see him with Macie.

About her skull-

On the last day of our hospital stay the pediatrician came into give Macie her final check. During the exam he noticed that she did not have a soft spot so he had her sent downstairs to get a CAT scan of her head. The preliminary reading of the scan was that the sutures in her skull are prematurely closing. This can be a bad thing if not recognized early because it is the fact that the individual bones aren’t fused yet in a baby’s head that allow the brain room to grow (and that allows the head to pass more easily through the birth canal.) We were able to get her into the doctors the day after we got home from the hospital and we are currently in the process of getting her into a pediatric neurosurgeon to determine what treatment will be necessary. From what the doctors have said, she will most likely need to undergo a surgical procedure between 6-9 months to open up the sutures to allow room for her brain to continue to grow properly. It is a major surgery that only needs to be done once and has very high success rate. It kills me that my perfect baby needs a surgery but I know it will all work out. There have been too many blessings for us in the last few months for us not to believe that Heavenly Father is looking out for us and will continue to do so. Today the family gathered together to join in a fast and I have felt the peace it has brought to us about the situation. I am thankful for Macie and my family and for the faith we all share. I will update you all after we get more info from the neurosurgeon.

The Baby is here! Born at 9:51 this morning in Albuquerque, NM. She's 7 lbs. 8 oz. and is 19 inches long. We think she's beautiful (even though she's a little brick and kinda bruised up from the delivery. She was 15 days early. More to come.

We just went out into our cute town of Cedarburg and took family photos. Thanks to my good friend Suzi, they turned out great! I probably would not normally have done family photos while I am 27 weeks pregnant but due to the fact that we are going to be sending out a family letter, photo and graduation announcement we had too. Britton's birthday party was today. We combined with Lilly, our good friends' daughter. He turns four on Wednesday and is such a sweet, fun boy. He's really been into the movie The Sandlot, lately, and wears a button-up shirt everyday over a t-shirt but leaves the one unbuttoned just like Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez. And here's one of the birthday boy and birthday girl. Lilly turned three today but is taller than Britton. Britton's head probably weighs more, though. Just look at his chin in the pic above.

Suzi and I made the birthday hats for the kids. Chris grilled up some tri-tip with Pappy's and some wicked-delicious chicken. The kids had some super-delicious hot dogs. I was the only one truly eating for two, but any onlooker would think we were all eating for three or four each.

Today I came downstairs and found Carter frantically filling Easter eggs with candy. I asked him what he was doing. He told me he was making eggs for his friends. He is always thinking of others. I loved to see his face filled with pure joy as he handed out the candy to his neighborhood friends.

I will be 20 weeks on Sunday. I assumed it was a girl because this pregnancy has been SO incredibly different. I haven't been nearly as sick as I was with the boys and it has been nice. Although I have gained a few more pounds than I did with the boys it has been much better than running to the toilet 8+ times a day.

Britton really enjoys getting himself dressed. Sometimes we'll pick out an outfit and he'll get upset cuz he isn't the one who got to pick it out.

So today he came downstairs with this outfit on. How is it that camouflage doesn't match more camouflage. Isn't it at least supposed to blend together?

Yesterday we went to the bank and for some reason it took a while to fill out the slip of paper and Britton said to me "Mom if you take me to McDonalds I will let you go to the bank." He looked at me with this look that told me that he thought that the bank to me was like Disneyland to him. Little did he know a nap for me would be like the magic kingdom to him.

Britton loves his costumes but his favorite lately is The Incredibles super hero outfit he has. It is a nice one with all of the muscles built in. The other day I pointed to his chest and asked him what it was and his reply was"incredible boobies".

A few mornings ago he came into my bedroom to wake me up and I noticed he had an interesting outfit on. He had his PJs I had put on him the night before with undies over it. I asked him why and he said "to keep my penis warm, Mom." and he gave me a look like I should have known. Considering that I don't have that body part I assumed it was cold and let him keep his extra pair of undies on.

He just keeps me on my toes and I love it.

So every night when Britton says his prayers, he prays that we can go to family fun land. It's a pizza place on the other side of town with all these games and places to run and crawl and have fun--like McDonalds on steroids. Here's a glimpse of why Britton prays to go there every day. I caught this picture of Carter and Brandon looking out the glass eyes of this giant monkey in the tubes area. The batteries on the camera went out right after so I got really lucky.

Speaking of batteries going out, Britton got a really sore throat the other day and just about lost his voice. It was all raspy and rattled when he talked. He wasn't too happy about it but thought it was kind of cool. He told me in his broken voice, "I think my voice is running out of baaaaaateries."

He told his dad earlier that morning, "Hey dad, listen to my voice. It sounds like a motorcycle."

Allie wanted me to blog about something. So here it is.

On Saturday Chris and I were heading to the temple when I started to have the worst pain in my chest. It felt literally like a heart attack. I was fine and knew I wasn't going to die from it so we continued on with our plans because we had great baby sitters and I knew the boys would be disappointed if we came home early. I didn't feel like I could make it through a whole session though, so we did some sealings instead. Despite the pain it was great to be there. On Monday I ended up getting a weird but small rash on one side of my rib cage and on my back. So I started to get worried because my chest was still hurting, not as bad as Saturday though. So I went to the emergency room and found out it is shingles. I guess It is induced by stress. So now on top of being tired and in pain, I'm apparently stressed. Now I'm stressed about being stressed. AHHHHH.

I do have to say some good things come out of pain and sickness. Yesterday. My good friend and neighbor Sherry Rosengren came over about 10:30 and handed me a good magazine and took my kids without being asked. THANKS!

Stephanie spends a lot of time sewing. She loves it and she's good at it, too--so good she can do it in her sleep. Let me explain. The boys have spilled some food on some of their good shirts recently and Steph had to spend a lot of time scrubbing them to get them clean. She also just got a new bed set for her birthday and is going to cover some pillows to match. Well, she told me that last night, while she slept, she came up with a brilliant way to make bibs for the boys so they won't spill on their nice clothes and also figured out an innovative way to cover all three pillows using only one piece of fabric (actually a curtain panel she got really inexpensively but decided the fabric would look better on a pillow.) Now she can use the other panel to turn into a throw. If she can do all that in her sleep imagine what she can do awake.

First I have to say THANKS to Chris for putting the boys to bed on time--all by yourself and without being asked. Thanks. The other night, though, I went into Britton's room to give him a kiss before I went to bed. It was late--probably about midnight--so had been asleep for a while already, but as I leaned down to give him a kiss I noticed he was cuddeled up to a pair of pliars. Yes, boys will be boys; but do they need to be dangerous?

Carter loves his preschool. One of the many reasons why is because on occasions he gets to go rock climbing with his class. HE LOVES IT! He doesn't get too high up--only about two feet at the most. But he has fun.

Let me start by saying: never underestimate a swinging person's momentum. Britton had to learn the hard way. He accidentally walked in front of someone swinging on the swing set. I saw it right before it happend and can't seem to get the image out of my head. I can still see Britton's little body being slammed into the dirt/woodchips. I ran to get him and when I flipped him over he had a split lip, bloody nose, major scratches and to top it off a huge mouthful of dirt. I hope it heals quickly.

This is one of our neighbors who had an accident going down a hill. I just thought it was funny. They look like they have the same disease.

Today was a big day in the life of the Ehat family because Carter learned how to ride a bike without his training wheels. Chris is such a great dad and it was so wonderful to see them working together. It only took about 15 minutes for Carter to learn how to do it. Partly because Chris is such a great teacher and partly because Carter is smart like Chris. Carter had such a big smile on his face and couldn't wait to get in the house so he could call his grandparents what he had done. That just made my day!

The wedding day was absolutely wonderful! It was a very special day. Linzi looked absolutely amazing and Jimmy looked drop-dead handsome. Together they are just a great couple and I am so glad that they are now husband and wife. They looked so happy. The reception was just unbelievable! Linzi kept me busy sewing the runners, flower girls' sashes, and cake table cloth; making the wedding cake; doing her hair; and to top it all off my friend, Allison, and I sang her and Jimmy a song at the reception. It was so much fun in the end to see it all put together.

They had the reception at Le Jardin--a greenhouse with cobblestone flooring. It ended up looking so great. The food was so good (Pam Lund Catered). Chris was telling all of his friend to take double the food so he could take half of it. It was also so much fun to get to know all of Jimmy's family. We love them! All in all the day was amazing but the best part was that an eternal family has now started. I love Linzi an Jimmy and was so happy to be a part of their special day.

I was so excited to see Chris in a tux because the last time I saw him in one was for our wedding. I went with Chris to pick it up and as we were there he tried it on to make sure it fit. I thought that when he came out I was going to just want to kiss him he would be so handsome but when I saw him I laughed so hard. His pants were so short that if they were any shorter they would have been shorts. His suit coat was too big, too. He still looked cute, though and we ended up getting the right size for the wedding. It was just funny.

I have to tell you I have the greatest friends ever! It is so funny because this whole blogger thing has made me really miss them! In high school I had a lot of buddies but I have to say that my best buddies were Allie and Katie. Allie and I have been best buddies since the end of 7th grade. Actually how we became friends is kind of funny: she didn't like me at first because she said I said "thanks" too much; also, it didn't help that Jennifer Sorensen (what happened to her?) told her not to like me. But that soon ended and we quickly became friends.

Katie has also been a great friend. She moved to Clovis the summer before our sophomore year and I remember knowing the second I saw her that I was going to like her. Friendships of three don't happen very often but for us it has worked out well. I love both of them very much. It is nice to have friends who really know who you are. I have especially found that true since I have moved to Wisconsin.

Enough of this blabbing. The reason why I wrote this is because a week and a half ago Katie posted on her blog a picture of one of my Sassy Stitch bags and a link to my web page. I was so happy that she liked the bags that I sent her one. Well, Katie posted on her blog that I sent her a bag and mentioned that I was the "friend of the year." That's when it all started: Allie wanted to be the friend of the year so she wrote a song about katie and posted it on her blog (check this one out too. There are some funny photos.) I wanted a song, too, so she wrote one for me. If you want to see some photos of me fat and some of me skinny, some with curly hair and some with straight hair, some with glasses and some without then check it out. I think you will like it because I LOVED IT. Thanks so much Allie, I'll send you a bag too.

CD and DD are back!!

Last year we had the funnest time looking at the ducks that lived right out side of our apartment. Carter named then CD and DD. I am assuming the girl is DD, and the boy is CD. But to our surprise they came back. It is good to see our old friends. The boys take bread to them and know to be nice because I am the duck cop. If a kid chases or throws anything at them, I protect them. :0) This is the closest thing that the boys have to a pet so I want them to stay here as long as they want.

My poor baby Britt had a bad day today. While I was making lunch, Britton slipped off his chair and split his chin. At first I didn't even notice it. I just picked him up and continued to make lunch when I felt that my shirt was wet . I looked down to see what it could be and saw that it was covered in blood. Luckily his doctor is just down the road. I raced down to the office and she gave him stitches. When I was trying to explain what had happened Carter interrupted by saying, "His shoes were slippery." I felt so bad for him they had him strapped to a papoose to keep him from moving. He was so ticked off that he got his feet loose and kicked off both of his shoes and screamed so loud and got so worked up that he was soaked in sweat--I felt so bad. That kid has a temper but if someone had me tied down I would have one too! All I have got to say is POOR BOY.

Thanks for voting! It was so much fun to make this quilt especially since it was made for two people that I LOVE! I think it turned out rather nice. I did a bias binding that was hand-finished and I was able to do a random stippling design to quilt it together. I hope they like it!!

So, like I have said, Chris has been gone a lot and there are just some things that I have had to give up on lately. Today it was how Carter was dressed. So this is what he wore - A blue sweat suite that should have been given to the Salvation Army 2 years ago when Carter grew out of it, boat shoes without socks, a big green beanie, garden gloves (I DON'T KNOW WHY), and a blue jacket that wouldn't even zip up. Although he looks like the biggest goof ball, I love that he loves it! All day he was strutting his stuff with his new I-dressed-myself confidence. Although he looks cute, maybe dressing my son is something I won't give up on quite yet after all. BUT HE IS SO ADORABLE!

Chris has been gone a lot lately because he has been studying for the dental boards. He has been leaving before the kidos get up and coming home long after they have gone to bed. So since it is a Saturday and we wanted to get some daddy time in, we surprised him by visiting him at the local library. It actually wasn't much of a surprise because the second we entered the small library Britton broke the no talking rule by screaming "Daddy ere are oo."

While we were there, we got some books for Carter and Britton. Chris read them to them when he got home. They are always so happy together. Chris is such a good dad and it shows by how much my boys love him. They just can't get enough daddy time!
